When Discussing Authority Delegation on CRM, We Need to Distinguish Between Two Parts:
1/ Software Installed on the Server:
- The first concern is whether customer data will be lost. The key security factor is that the Server Administrator must regularly back up the data (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.).
2/ Authority Delegation on CRM Software: After ensuring the security of data on the server, the next issue is authority delegation within the CRM software.
Generally, There Are Three Levels of Authority Delegation:
- Access Rights: Users will be provided with a username and password to log into the customer management system.
- Action Rights: Once logged into the system, the user can perform specific actions such as add, edit, delete, import, export, or bulk edit data.
- Data Rights: This is where the question “Who can see my data?” is answered. (Do colleagues at the same level see it? Does my manager see it?). These issues depend on the authority delegation model that is applied in each company.
